| Your reputation is built on superb performance
| We make sure our systems are too
In your line of business, you have to dazzle. Mediocrity just does not cut it. This puts unique pressures on all of your people, on and off the stage. They work hard to make each and every show a success, demanding nothing less than excellence for your audiences, night after night. You need a hearing system that can meet this demand.
Gordon Morris Ltd knows all about performance. We have over twenty years experience creating superb installations to help theatres reach a hearing impaired audience. By combining the very best technology with our supremely professional service, we are able to enhance the quality of experience people enjoy at your shows. Hearing-impaired people coming to the theatre depend on induction loops. That is why you need equipment that has been installed, configured and maintained to an excellent standard. We will take the time to ensure this level of quality, so that you can be certain your system will not let you down at the crucial moment.
With the Univox SLS Super Loop System, microphones are used to pick up speech, music and effects from the stage, converting them into an electromagnetic signal. This signal is transmitted via a loop cable, running around the auditorium, to deliver high-quality sound to the user ’s hearing aid. To take advantage of the benefits of this technology, the user simply switches their own hearing aid to the ‘T’ position, without the need for any further equipment or assistance. They can even adjust the volume, putting the individual firmly in control. This simple and convenient system dramatically reduces background noise and allows hearing impaired people to immerse themselves in the unique experience of live theatre.
We can configure the Super Loop System to work alongside your existing sound installation. Our engineers have experience of a wide range of public address and audio systems, allowing us to achieve better integration with your current set-up. The SLS Super Loop System has also been designed to reduce the problem of ‘overspill’. For instance, you may wish to have separate loop systems in the main performance area and in the lobby. By using a series of carefully calculated overlapping loop cables, we can ensure that interference between neighbouring systems does not occur and that a more even signal is achieved.
Gordon Morris Ltd has provided and installed hearing equipment in a number of high-profile theatres. Please contact us to see how we could help you to improve access for the hearing impaired. For more information about any of our products, please follow the links to our products pages.
